To fund future programs - extending the sculpture project and develop some fully accessible trails - a forest for everyone
Canterbury
The Hanmer Heritage Forest Trust was established by gazetted covenant in 2009 to maintain and develop the public amenity value of this 204ha forest, established in the late 1800's as a forest species trial. The land is now owned by Ngai Tahu with the forest trust continuing to develop the trails, open spaces, seating and most recently sculptures for all the public to engage with. Further trail projects are required to ensure fully accessible trails and extend the hugely successful sculpture project.
The Hanmer Heritage Forest Trust is a registered charity tasked with looking after the amenity values of the 204ha Hanmer Heritage Forest
