We need your help. We are working through a period of change and need some support to remain financially viable while we bolster our numbers and make up a recent financial shortfall. Your donation will contribute towards teaching costs, classroom materials etc.. Any amount you can give supports us in our mission - we thank you in advance.

After the MOE changes to donation rules (meaning we cannot compel payment) and a drop in classroom numbers due to families moving away or wanting a more mainstream experience for their children, we're facing some financial issues. This means that our unit is at risk.

As we are a registered charity you will receive a receipt and NZ residents can claim back 33.33% of their donation via a claim to IRD at the end of the financial year.

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT:

At Montessori @ Howick Primary we aim to provide and promote an education, inspired by the Montessori philosophy, which nurtures in the child a lifelong love of learning through self discovery. We aim to provide an education for the development of the whole child where activities promote the development of cognitive skills, of social skills, of emotional growth and also physical coordination.

Children at Montessori @ Howick Primary work, learn and progress at their own pace and have individualised learning plans. The teachers guide and encourage the children responding to each child’s unique learning style

Within our multi-aged classroom, our teachers work with the 6 – 9 and 9+ to 11 year old groupings. Our classrooms have a wide range of specialised Montessori resources and materials. There is a strong emphasis on providing a peaceful and orderly environment which enhances the children’s ability to learn.
