At the CAB we help people to know and understand their rights and obligations and how to use this information to get the best outcomes. We provide people with the confidence and support they need to take action while also working towards positive social change within communities and wider society. This is a free and independent service available to everyone.

✅We give FREE, confidential, independent information, advice and support.

✅We use our knowledge of services and communities to help people to help themselves.

✅We make sure clients know and understand their rights and obligations.

✅We work for positive social change within communities and wider society.

✅There is no time pressure - we take the time to really listen.

✅Everybody is welcomed and no one is judged!

✅We offer a universal service … you can ask us about any issue 😊.

We can also help you:

✅JP Services

✅Budget and Benefit advocates

✅Family Law Clinic

✅Write letters.

✅Fill in Forms.

✅Speak with government departments e.g. IRD, Tenancy, Immigration etc.

✅Find legal assistance.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
