The WPR is a historic rural railway in North Canterbury. WPR members are dedicated to the preservation of New Zealand’s rail heritage.

The Weka Pass Railway is a totally voluntary organisation. Our members are constantly busy with the maintenance and restoration of locomotives, rolling stock, rail track and buildings.
However all of this work comes with a huge number of expenses that money from operating days just doesn't cover. Donations received through Givealittle will be used to buy materials for locomotive repairs, track maintenance, restoring rolling stock and other special projects.

The Weka Pass Railway operates and maintains the railway from Waipara to Waikari in North Canterbury for the enjoyment, education and transport of society members and the public.
