Inspiring Communities aims to build and share the combined knowledge in New Zealand’s community-led development (CLD) network. We connect people and initiatives together to learn from each other; co-facilitate learning workshops, regional forums and national projects; we communicate with leaders (government, funders, service providers and business) to promote CLD approaches.

Inspiring Communities has supported the development of pivotal regional community-led development networks in Auckland and Bay of Plenty; our 2010 publication What We Are Learning (see our website) is dubbed a ‘handbook for CLD’; in 2011 we helped establish Neighbours Day Aotearoa and the Victory Village Forum; dozens of groups regularly use the knowledge we share in their daily work.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
