Japan Festival Wellington is one of the biggest cultural events in Pōneke occurring every two years and attracting approximately 20-30,000 Wellingtonians to enjoy Japanese food, art, exhibitions, workshop, performances and more!

The festival offers all types of activities, from sumo wrestling for children to peaceful tea ceremony experiences to cheering on colourful cosplay groups. The participants come from all over New Zealand to attend JFW.

Volunteer run trust and the operation team work very hard on top of their work & life to sustain the future of Japan Festival in Wellington - arigato (thank you) for helping us!
