Without support, life-giving, inspirational, thought-provoking, positive stories are seldom told; challenging people to grow is uncommon, but it is the role of the arts to call us to a different place, fill us with hope and perhaps more importantly, aspiration - and be a voice above the negativity that surrounds much of what populates our screens.
