That the NZ Vegetarian Society has been working towards a more compassionate world since 1943 is a tribute to the loyalty and longevity of its founders and members. Vegetarianism is now recognised as a healthy and compassionate life choice and being vegetarian is far easier with more acceptance of the lifestyle and variety of foods and restaurant meals available.

High School Video Competition 2014 11 December 2013
We are running a nationwide short-video competition with the winner to be announced on World Vegetarian Day 2014. We would like to give pupils and schools the opportunity to win over five thousand dollarsf worth of prizes, and to learn more about the vegetarian lifestyle and related matters. Each entrant will receive a participation certificate for their CV. Winners of each category will win prizes, and the school with the overall winning entry will also be the recipient of a substantial prize. Entries must be submitted by 31st August 2014.
