Kumara is a vibrant village with a proactive, friendly, united and motivated community that want to work together to ensure success.

The Trust aims to assist the progress and development of Kumara by encouraging and actively working to gain a connected and cohesive community that people want to live and prosper in. We want to raise funds to create a Chinese Miners Memorial Reserve in Kumara to celebrate our history.
The Trust has strategic relationships with Westland District Council and other Government agencies to develop Kumara. The Trust manages beautification projects in the town, supports the elderly and other community groups. Kumara's pride in place has significantly improved since the introduction of the Trust.

Geotech Rocks - rocks & stones donated - Sept 2018 16 September 2018
Every little bit helps, and Geotech donating time & machinery and delivery all these rocks and stones to our reserve is wonderful.
These will be used in the stream and pond feature.
