Le Bons Bay Conservation Trust

Money fundraised by this Givealittle page will go directly towards the costs of managing the land, up keeping the tracks and fences etc.

Le Bons Bay, Canterbury

The Le Bons Bay Conservation Trust has been formed because of a strong desire from many local people to promote and enable the conservation of the local environment within Le Bons Bay.

We successfully raised $450,000 to purchase the 39 hectare Old Wharf Road property that forms a triangle of land running up Dalglish Rd from the bottom of the hill, up to the summit directly above the Le Bons bay beach, with the river being the bottom boundary.

The land is in the process of being protected in perpetuity by a Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust.

There are ongoing costs to the management of the land which we really need to help with.

More about us
