Manawatu Life Education Trust

Manawatu Life Education Trust

The Life Ed vision is to enhance the quality of and make a difference to children's lives through education.

Manawatu / Whanganui

Life Education Trust Manawatu is a charitable trust which delivers quality health based education programmes to the primary and intermediate schools in the wider Manawatu region. Our dynamic educator Tim and his cheeky but lovable side kick, Harold the Giraffe, use humour, fun, music and our high tech mobile classroom to provide memorable and meaningful learning to our community's children.

Life Ed has three primary messages:

1. Every person is unique with their own identity and special potential.

2. The human body is magnificent - we show how the body functions and what it needs to be healthy.

3. We need to support and respect each other.

As a charity, we are heavily reliant on our wonderful local sponsors and our local community to meet the ever rising costs of delivering such important messages to our children. Please support us in continuing our work in the schools of the Manawatu.

More about us

The vision of Life Education Trust is to enhance the quality of children's lives through education. Manawatu Life Education Trust works with our primary and intermediate schools in the Manawatu region to teach our children about healthy nutrition, the unique qualities of each and every person and the importance of respecting and caring for themselves and for others.

Life Education Trust's philosophy is based on three key principles:

1. Every person is unique - never before and never again will there be another you.

2. The human body is magnificent.

3. We need to support and respect each other.

Life Education doesn't teach children what is right or wrong - we aim to provide children with knowledge so they can make informed decisions that will affect them.

As a charitable trust, we are reliant on our wonderful community partners and fundraising in the wider community to meet the ever increasing costs of delivering our exciting and engaging programmes to the young people of the Manawatu. We need your help to continue the great work of our dynamic educator, Tim, and Tim's cheeky, fun loving mascot and side kick, Harold the Giraffe.

Harold is the mascot of all Life Education Trusts nationally. A giraffe was chosen as the mascot to remind children to stand tall. Giraffes are also gentle, caring animals that live in families and work together.

Please help us to continue our work and support the young people of the Manawatu!
