Light Nelson is an Illuminated, interactive and lively series of free events that capitalizes on the artistic strengths of our community.

Harnessing artistic talent and ingenuity to create a unique event that we wish to build to become a major feature on the Nelson Calendar that attracts visitors to the region and the participation of the community. We provide an environment which attracts a wide range of people from many different backgrounds and provides opportunities to learn new skills through collaboration.
Our first event over the weekend of 19th-21st July attracted over 16,000 visitors from all ages and many different backgrounds and all areas of our community. The event included a wide range of artworks including projects by former refugees as well as teenagers that are part of an outreach program.
