More about us

We are a brigade that has 27 active members, we are not only a fire brigade but also incline line rescue team, a first responder for St John Ambulance as well as the local Civil Defence team.

The Brigade was founded in 1968 by locals who formed a Fire party after a large fire. The Brigade operated out of a tin shed with our 1942 Ford V8 fire appliance which we still own and operate and public events

Use of funds

The Little River Fire Rescue team funds its own "Rapid Response Vehicle" We are seeking to replace our long serving Toyota Hulux with a modern utility, to provide reliable, fast response times to various incidents in a safe manner. This vehicle provides life saving equipment in the event of cardiac arrest, lines rescue gear, trauma gear and trained personnel under lights and sirens. We seek your support to help fund the purchase of a replacement multi purpose vehicle
