Our mission is to advance the welfare of all animals in New Zealand by:
Preventing cruelty to animals
Alleviating suffering of animals
Promoting our policies through education and advocacy
The Inspectors will attend approximately 100 welfare complaints annually which will result in education or prosecution under the Animal Welfare Act 1999. Our centre recieves approximately 500 animals and handles hundreds of phone calls regarding animal welfare related issues.
