Making a World of Difference — One Shipment at a Time

Since our formation, Medical Aid Abroad Trust Board Incorporated has been driven by one simple belief — that no medical resource should go to waste when it can save a life.

For nearly six decades, Medical Aid Abroad has transformed surplus supplies into hope, connecting New Zealand’s generosity with the world’s healing, because when care knows no borders, lives change forever.

Every shipment carries more than just medical supplies — it carries kindness, dignity, and the promise of better health.

We are a voluntary organisation made up of people who care — doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and everyday New Zealanders who want to make a difference.

From our Auckland centre and a Christchurch branch, donated medical goods find new purpose. Our volunteers receive, record, and carefully store these supplies — each item a potential lifeline waiting for someone in need.

When a request comes in from a hospital or clinic overseas, our warehouse comes alive. Boxes are packed with care and hope, ready to travel to communities where resources are scarce but determination is strong.

We follow the World Health Organization (WHO) Guidelines, ensuring that every donated item is safe, in-date, and ready to serve those who need it most.
