Support MOTAT to achieve its vision to use the past, present and future technology to educate and inspire the innovators of tomorrow
MOTAT needs your help!
MOTAT, also known as Auckland's Museum of Transport and Technology is Aotearoa, New Zealand’s largest transport and technology museum that offers exciting learning experience for people of all ages.
MOTAT is a registered charity, first started by a dedicated group of volunteers in 1964. While we do receive a levy from Auckland Council each year, we are dependant on donations and ticketing admissions to help us bring you the experiences you know and love.
Covid-19 has impacted our ability to have school bookings on site, host school holiday programmes and has resulted in the postponement and cancellation of many of our popular events. Which is why we appreciate your donations now more than ever!
Please consider donating to MOTAT, your donations will be used to help fund things like the Conservation of the Solent Mark IV Flying Boat, 'Aranui', repairs to our beloved tram fleet, and the funding of new and exciting exhibitions for the 25000+ students who visit us each year.
Thank you for your donation. We appreciate each and every dollar.
MOTAT is New Zealand’s largest museum of its kind. Located in Auckland’s Western Springs.
Celebrating NZ’s past, present, and future, MOTAT endeavours to educate and inspire the innovators of tomorrow through creative and innovative initiatives.
Thank you so much for your donation and we are thrilled that you enjoyed your Tram Ride. We love seeing our visitors enjoyment of riding on the trams.
Thank you so much for your support
