Run by mums, for mums, Mothers Network supports women facing the changes & challenges of motherhood through facilitated discussion groups.
Wellington
Mothers Network is a not-for-profit organisation that has been running in Wellington for 40 years. Run by mums, for mums, we support and connect women facing the changes and challenges of being a mum through facilitated discussion groups. We also consider the impact motherhood has on other aspects of life, including relationships, career and sense of wellbeing.
We need your help! We have facilitated discussion groups for women to share the realities of motherhood with other mums in a judgement-free space for 40 years. Making sure parents and whānau have access to support and community connection is the best way to protect perinatal mental health - this is what we do!
Early intervention is key in addressing issues like isolation and post-natal depression. More than half of our attendees described feelings of social isolation or loneliness as a reason for their joining a group.
We receive no government funding and without your donation we will not be able to continue to provide our vital service.
How can you help us now?
We know that times are tough but any donation of any size will help us to continue to support women like you through the challenges of motherhood.
$10 ensures we can print resources for one of our in-person group sessions, enabling us to lead mothers through a depth of discussion.
$25 provides hot drinks and baking for one of our group sessions: sharing kai is one of the ways we help mothers to connect.
$50 covers a koha for one of our trained and skilled facilitators to plan and run one group session.
$75 funds one incredible babysitter to provide childcare for one of our daytime group sessions, allowing our mums to fully participate and take time for themselves.
$170 gives one more mother a fully covered place in our 6-week programme.
Thank you so much!
