NELSON WOMEN'S CENTRE - Te Whare Āwhina Mō Ngā Wāhine Puawai 🌷

The Nelson Women's Centre is a resource and community support centre for all women and non-binary people in the Nelson Tasman region.

We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, safe space, where women can come to connect, get advice, information and find a sense of community. They don't need to be in crisis to access our services, though many people we help are.

We are supported by a mixture of grant funding, donations and fundraising activities.

Your donations will help us continue to run the centre and support women.

CURRENT FUND RAISING GOAL : Help us - reinstate our COMMUNITY SOCIAL WORKER

We are looking to raise $10 000 by the end of January 2025 so we can reinstate a part time social worker in February 2025

NWC - WHO ARE WE?

The Nelson Women's Centre has been supporting women and their whānau for over 30 years in its current location and as an organisation since the 1970's. We provide vital services such as affordable counselling, social work, food support relationship and domestic violence support, and workshops on a huge range of life skills. We also operate a little library and offer a space for any woman and non-binary who just need time-out.

The Centre staff and volunteers work with women to empower them to be safe, resourceful, to value themselves, and to achieve their potential.

Please help us continue doing this work, and providing important services to women and children in the Nelson community!
