Advocacy Free Services In Need

Te whare awhina mo nga wahine puawai - a supportive place where all women can flourish.

The Nelson Women's Centre is a resource and support centre for all women in the Nelson Tasman region.

We exist through a mixture of unstable government funding, trusts - and the kindness of people like you.

Your donations will help us support women in need.

More than 3,000 women contacted the Centre last year.

We provide vital services such as counselling, social workers, relationship and domestic violence support, and workshops on a huge range of life skills. We also operate a library, an opshop, and a food bank.

The Centre staff and volunteers work with women to empower them to be safe, resourceful, to value themselves, and to achieve their potential.

We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, safe drop-in space, where women can come to connect and talk with each other. They don't need to be in crisis to access our services, though many people we help are.

Please help us continue doing this work, and providing important services to women and children in the Nelson community.
