Nourished for Nil operates as food rescue, as well as running 2 food banks & 2 Social Supermarkets, for the Napier and Hastings community.
Hawke's Bay
Nourished for Nil is proud to be part of the waste minimisation in Hawke's Bay ensuring that good quality food is not sent to landfill. We work hard to be the first choice for growers, producers and manufacturers when unsold food or food surplus is being considered.
Our food rescue service is available to all members of the community with no qualification necessary.
We also operate two Foodbanks and two Social Supermarkets between the Hastings and Napier region where work with over 100 Social Service agencies to help people access these services.
As a charity we can only operate through funding & donations - both financial and surplus food - and the help of many (over 200!) volunteers. Thank you for supporting us in whatever way you can 😊
More about us
At Nourished for Nil we rescue surplus food and share it with everyone in our community, no questions asked. Partnering with social agencies, we also support vulnerable groups by offering food parcels and a dignified shopping experience at our social supermarket.
