The children at Potters have been celebrating its 15th birthday - 15 years since Mama Jane founded the home for vulnerable women and children. With no government or state help, this is an amazing achievement and I congratulate her, the helpers and the volunteers. The children are so grateful for a home and food, as well as an education in many cases. Thank you to the donors through the Only One charity - it is wonderful to be a part of this inspiring home.

Along with the children needing food and their school fees paid every month, it is unpredictable how often or how many of the children will fall sick with common illnesses like malaria, ringworm and bed bugs. With 118 children currently residing at Potters Village there is a lot of money needed for simple necessities and we hope with your $1 per month to create a sustainable income for Mama Jane to help towards these problems for the children.

Annie (my daughter) arrived at Potters Village last week. She was greeted very enthusiastically by the children who were delighted to see her and her friend Holly again. She celebrated her 21st birthday there, by having water thrown all over her - a birthday tradition in Ghana.
