Help Petone Community House to keep its hire fees affordable for the community.
Petone, Lower Hutt
Petone Community House was established in 1980 through the hard work and dedication of the local community. Our purpose is to offer accessible and affordable space for community and local events, activities, clubs, groups and support services. Dozens of different community groups meet regularly at the House, and we host important community services such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, support groups and counsellors.
We have opened this page to raise funds to help us to keep our room rates affordable for everyone and maintain our staffed open hours so that the House can be a welcoming place for all. Donations will also go towards keeping the facilities comfortable and well equipped. Like all other organisations, we find our costs increasing every year.
The House is grateful to receive ongoing support from our landlord, the Hutt City Council, which maintains the House as a community asset. We meet all our other costs from room rents, and grant funding only covers specific projects like our Monday walk and morning tea.
The Petone Community House offers accessible and affordable space for community and local events, activities, clubs, groups and support services. Located in a beautiful heritage building in the heart of Petone, it has been serving the community since 1980.
