Good rural health services means healthy rural communities. Dr Pat Farry was a tireless champion of rural health, devoting much of his care
Pat Farry Rural Health Education Trust scholarships assist young people to spend valuable time in innovative and challenging overseas situations, to return, and to become the next generation of healthcare idea generators. Ultimately our vision is for the Trust's work and our scholarship recipient's experiences to contribute to the quality of rural health services in all regions of New Zealand.
Since 2010, nine medical students from all over New Zealand have benefitted from the Trust’s scholarship programme. They'll go on to become GP's in rural New Zealand, ensuring good healthcare closer to home is a reality for all New Zealanders. Our fundraising events help to support our scholarship programme. Our potential is limited only by our resources.
The Pat Farry Rural Health Education Trust in conjunction with the New Zealand Rural General Practice Network is hosting the Trust’s auction fundraiser – an evening of fine wines, outstanding New Zealand art, epic experiences, music, humour and good company at the Otago Settlers Museum in Dunedin.
The art will be hung at the Dunedin Town Hall from the 31 March – 2 April 2016 for viewing.
The Gala Dinner is on Saturday, 2 April 2016 and will begin at 7.30pm. If you won’t be making it to the Gala Dinner never fear. You can email us a bid on any of the auction items in the catalogue. http://www.patfarrytrust.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Pat-Farry-Trust-Fundraiser-Catalog.pdf
