Pat Farry Rural Health Education Trust scholarships assist young people to spend valuable time in innovative and challenging overseas situations, to return, and to become the next generation of healthcare idea generators. Ultimately our vision is for the Trust's work and our scholarship recipient's experiences to contribute to the quality of rural health services in all regions of New Zealand.
Since 2010, nine medical students from all over New Zealand have benefitted from the Trust’s scholarship programme. They'll go on to become GP's in rural New Zealand, ensuring good healthcare closer to home is a reality for all New Zealanders. Our fundraising events help to support our scholarship programme. Our potential is limited only by our resources.
