Finding pound dogs their new forever

  Waikato Pets Animal Welfare

Pound Hounds Rescue is a 100% volunteer run, non profit organisation dedicated to finding homes for stray and abandoned Pound dogs and puppies.

We work together with the Waipa District Council exclusively, to find homes for the increasing number of dogs relinquished to Animal Control in the Waipa area. Here at Pound Hounds the dogs that come into our care are solely Pound dogs. We bring these do gs into foster homes where they are cared for whilst being placed up for adoption into their forever homes.

It is thanks to the community support we receive from fundraising, donations and volunteers that we are able to take in and care for our "Poundies".

We also have education courses and events available to the public advocating the importance of desexing and vaccinating your dog as well as responsible dog ownership and care.

All dogs rescued by Pound Hounds Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and placed into temporary foster care until permanent loving and responsible homes can be found.

Use of funds

Your donations are used for all sorts of things. From microchipping and vet checks to desexing, advertising and transport amongst other things.

Pound Hounds Rescue is entirely funded by donations, fundraising and grants so any donation is greatly appreciated and will help us save another Poundies life.
