Reaching out to the community with free events, sizzles, hangis, sporting and other activities. Promoting a solution to permanently breaking the patterns of addiction and violence in young people and families. Showcasing peoples' talents in music, dance, drama and art as productive ways to express themselves.

Over the past 10 years, PowerJam has held annual community events in Porirua that averaged about 1000 attendants each, these events included the famous "battle of the bands", food, sporting competitions, inspiring speakers and promotional displays. Entertainment and sports is used to attract people and encourage them to get involved and use their talents.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
