Project Employ https://www.projectemploy.nz/our-story was established in 2021 with a mission to support young people with intellectual disabilities and learning differences during their transition into the workforce. We identified a gap between leaving school and gaining meaningful employment, and knew that this was an opportunity to support young people into the workforce. The organisation aims to enable these individuals to lead fulfilling and productive lives, foster diversity in the workforce, and build a supportive community. Leveraging expertise in disability support, teaching, and youth services, Project Employ is committed to making a positive impact in this field.
Project Employ’s vision is to create a community where young people with intellectual or learning disabilities are engaged in meaningful, paid employment in the same way as any other member of the community.
Hi Margaret, Thank you so much for choosing to support Project Employ again. It is very much appreciated by the PE team and neurodiverse young adults that enrol on our employability skills training programme in Flourish Cafe.
Thank you so much for your generous donation Margaret. We are very grateful for the support you are showing to Project Employ, as a charity, but more importantly the neurodiverse young adults that we are supporting to gain meaningful employment. Thank you for choosing to help change their futures.
Thank you so much Margaret. Your generous donation is greatly appreciated and will go directly towards helping us prepare more neurodiverse young adults to become work ready.
