Project Butterfly

Project Butterfly

We are collating a book. Primarily New Zealand orientated it will have 365 ways, tips and stories to get through the first year of grief.

Nelson / Tasman

Our book project will have two parts to it. Firstly we call upon all New Zealander's who have lost somebody and ask them what they did to create memories. What they did to survive that first year. We hope this can help people find organic support groups. People can come together and talk about their stories in order to help people who have just started their journey with grief. We already have around 100 fabulous ideas but need another 265 as well as $30 000 to self publish this inspiring book.

More about us

A Nelson based charity that helps family through child loss and grief. We run workshops, respite weekends, art therapy workshops, food runs as well as allowing people to form organic support networks through our programmes. We have also been involved with 'dads fishing trips' for men who have lost children, put on a play about child loss, have built New Zealand's first memorial pathway for lost children and are now writing a book for grief support.
