Radio Hawkes Bay is the official access radio station in Hawkes Bay.

In other words, we are a community radio made by the community. The programs are free to air on 1431 AM and 104.7 FM – they are also podcasts that can be streamed or downloaded that play on Spotify and iTunes.

We provide a platform of representation for groups/ individuals that have little or no access to mainstream media. Under the guidance of the broadcasting act section 36c our focus is youth, the rainbow community, children, women, maori, multiculturism, religious diversity and disability.

Currently there are 100 regular broadcasters from a vast range of backgrounds that volunteer to enhance the Hawkes Bay community. Geographically we cover from Wairoa to Takapau so are always looking to expand to suit the demographics of our diverse communities.

Anyone can create a podcast/program with us to benefit the cohesion of Hawkes Bay.
