Raetihi Promotions Charitable Trust, working to provide the Gateway to adventure

Manawatu / Whanganui

Raetihi Promotions Charitable Trust work with the community and in conjunction with other groups in the town to actively promote Raetihi as a destination town with walk ways and annual events that the trust supports and promotes through the year.

Each of these events are costly to operate and require on going funding to be sourced, whilst we seek to build on the success of each year on year so they can become self funding.

We are developing of two walk ways at opposite ends of the town to provide differing experiences, the Makotuku walk way, runs along side the Makotuku river and passes past a glow worm grotto and through areas of outstanding and untouched natural bush. Whilst the Ameku road goes up into the hills to the south west of the town and provides outstanding views for 360 degree's eventually this will be connect to the Mountain to the Sea cycle way.

With access through Raetihi down to the Whangnui river and a lovely drive, Raetihi is the ideal stop on your travels through the Ruapehu region.

Along with cycling you can also book to do canoeing, excellent tramping and walking with the Tongariro crossing only 30 minutes away and we are a fantastic centre for all your snow adventures.

Though we raise money through a number of sources we are looking to the power of the internet to provide support for our great little community that so often punches above its weight.
