Reefton Historic Trust Board

Reefton Historic Trust Board

Your generous donations will directly help us preserve Reeftons rich, and unique history. THANKYOU!

Reefton, West Coast

We are preserving Reeftons unique history.

In 1888 Walter Prince demonstrated the incadesent light in our Oddfellows hall.

We are also developing the railway precinct including the 1892 railway station & engine shed, as well as the 1872 courthouse.

Recent projects include the repainting the exterior, and sanding the floors of the Oddfellows hall. Work continues on the renovation of the interior of this building.

We have recently completely re-piled the old Railway Station and are replacing the old and rotten weatherboards on the outside. Work continues on this project too with many more weatherboards yet to replace.

We are also developing a yard area on Hattie St, this will allow us to tidy up around the Engine Shed and the entrance to town.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
