Help Keep Richmond Riding for the Disabled Open
Nelson / Tasman
Right now, Richmond Riding for the Disabled is facing a funding shortfall that could mean having to shut down our facility which helps 80 children and adults each week!
Richmond Riding for the Disabled provides therapeutic riding for children and adults with physical, intellectual, and emotional challenges.
For our riders, this isn’t just about horses. It’s about building strength, confidence, independence and in some cases, doing things families were told might never be possible. We need your help to keep this service available to our community. Every week, we see quiet, powerful transformations in the people we support.
But running these sessions comes with real costs horse care, trained coaches, equipment, and maintaining safe facilities. This year, rising costs and reduced funding have left us with a significant shortfall.
No amount is too small every contribution makes a difference. If you’re able to donate, we are incredibly grateful.
If you’re not able to give right now, simply sharing this page with your friends, family, or workplace can make a huge impact.
This is a small community organisation, powered by dedicated volunteers, incredible horses, and the determination of our riders. With your help, we can continue to provide a place where progress happens one ride at a time.
Thank you for being part of our community.
Riding for the Disabled provides interaction with horses to improve health and well-beingoutcomes for people experiencing disability or who have specific challenges or needs.
