Hospice provides specialist palliative care to support patients who are suffering from a life limiting medical condition.
Rotorua Hospice provides specialist palliative care to support patients who are suffering from a life limiting medical condition. Anyone living with a life limiting condition – e.g. heart failure, motor neurone disease, MS or cancer – can access and benefit from hospice services.
Our goal is to help people make the most of their lives; to live every moment in whatever way is important to them.
Hospice care has a unique whole person approach – which means physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs are equally important – a multidisciplinary team provides care for the person who is dying and their families and friends, both before and after a death.
Rotorua Hospice provides care and support completely free of charge to people using our services. Whilst free of charge to people using Hospice services, it costs a lot to provide. Hospice services are partially funded by the Lakes District Health Board but in the coming 12 months we will need to bridge a $900,000 funding gap. The funds you help raise will help meet this shortfall - thank you!
Rotorua Hospice provides care and support for anyone with a life limiting condition. Hospice is not just a building; it is a philosophy of care. The majority of people receiving support are cared for in their homes.
