Delivering holistic, culturally appropriate services in fourteen languages by a qualified team of counsellors and support workers who come from diverse ethnic and multi-faith backgrounds. Our services include home visits, individual, couple, family and group counselling. We conduct women’s support groups (SAHAARA), anger management, self esteem groups (SAVERAA) and early intervention & prevention community awareness programmes (SOCH).
Sahaayta has supported over 500 families over the past year, free of charge. We liaise with various agencies and referral bodies like WINZ, Housing New Zealand, CYFs and New Zealand Police, legal services, health & disability services, school social workers, community organisations, immigration advisers, religious institutions and mental health services in supporting our clients.
