School Start First Impressions

* makes the first day of school a positive experience for the child by celebrating and acknowledging the importance of that child, her/himself;

* acknowledges beginning school as the first major step for the child towards education and independence and the first step the child takes towards becoming a person making their way in the world.

By forming relationships with existing credible community based organisations who are already in contact with families experiencing hardship. We receive referrals from these community based agencies relying on their professional expertise and advice to determine a child's eligibility for a School Start First Impressions 5KitBox.?

This 5KitBox includes everything a child needs to prepare for their first year at school and to celebrate their 5th birthday with their family:

* school Needs - all school stationery requirements, school bag, lunch box/drink bottle, first year school donations (paid directly to the school), set of school clothing or school uniform, raincoat, sunhat, shoes, socks, underwear

* party fun - birthday cake, birthday gift, popcorn, family activity, balloons, reading book, activity/sticker book, party plates and decorations, party blowers
