Swamp City Roller Rats are proud to represent Palmerston North in Roller Derby and remain the city’s first and only established league.

SCRR practice up to 4 times a week, and host bouts as well as playing away games. This year we will be hosting (again) the National Tournament in October. This will see 16 teams go head to head over 2 days.

SCRR boasts a strong 60 member league and is represented by two teams – A team ‘The Plague’ and B team ‘Poison Ivies’. Together, The Plague and Poison Ivies have competed in 17 games in their 2012 season.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
