SOYO Foundation

SOYO Foundation

Let's not tell but show our true Kiwi spirit and generosity and care for the disadvantaged Kiwi children and families, and for Afghanistan.

Christchurch, Canterbury

SOYO Foundation is a grassroots locally owned and run non-profit charity motivated and inspired to serve and give back to our city, Christchurch, and country New Zealand. In recent times as a country, we have faced many testing challenges namely; the Canterbury earthquakes, Christchurch Mosque shootings, Covid-19 and the lockdowns and others, that while greatly hurting Kiwis, have also united and brought us together. We now want to build on that and spread more kindness, positive energy and the Kiwi spirit in Christchurch and New Zealand by helping the disadvantaged Kiwi children and families and being there in times of crisis. We are also passionate to help the poverty and conflict-stricken Afghans in Afghanistan, the birth country of SOYO Foundation Trustees. Kiwis can be proud to display their true Kiwi values of kindness and care and global citizenship and donate to these causes.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
