SPACE (Supporting Parents Alongside Children's Education) is a programme for mainly first time parents and their babies. SPACE supports parents to be valued educators of their babies and provide a support network for families at a time when they need it most -in the first year of becoming new parents.

The first SPACE group started in July 2009 with 15 babies and their parents. Since then SPACE Waikato has grown exponentially and is run in St Andrews, Nawton, Hamilton East , Morrinsville and Cambrdige Playcentres.
