All donations will be going towards the ongoing work of Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre.

Sir Peter Blake MERC is a not for profit based in Long Bay, Auckland, whose mission is to provide life-changing marine environmental education and outdoor experiences for young New Zealanders.

For over 30 years, we have facilitated quality marine education and outdoor programmes to over 16,000 youth per year. In addition, we cater to school groups, corporates, families, special needs, religious groups and other not for profit organisations.

This includes our annual Blake Experience programme, which enables Decile 1-3 schools with the opportunity to experience a 2 ½ day camp experience at MERC with transport, food and activity costs covered.

MERC also offers the Sir Peter Blake MERC Disadvantaged Fund for individuals facing severe financial hardship, who would not otherwise have the means to take part in a MERC experience.

Our aim is to introduce marine based outdoor programs to schools, special needs, and youth at risk or other community groups that would otherwise be unable to experience environmental and marine education.
