TASC provides a "Buddy" for peer support while in the spinal unit. TASC also provides Back on Track sessions, outings, art and computer classes ( the tutors of these classes are people in wheelchairs). We are involved with budgeting and the sexuality programme. We have a yearly "Show Off Day" an open day to the public.

TASC was started in 1991 by a group of high level tetraplegics who fought ACC for 24 hour care and won. Since then it has grown to become the 'Buddy'" organisation and has continued to grow and evolve into a unique support group for all people with spinal concerns.

Hi Anita and Team - Terry and I were talking about you over the weekend, and thinking that life is probably pretty tough in COVID land for your organisation, and we'd like to help make it a little bit easier with this donation. Please use it to help others as you helped us over 10 years ago!

Hi Shirley and Terry. Wow. Thank you so much for your very kind donation for Spinal Support. Yes it is certainly challenging delivering our peer support during this lockdown time but we are still keeping in touch with all our members and offering them all the help and support that we can. Your support is so much appreciated. Once again thank you.

Hello - I am a residential real estate agent working at Bayleys in Takapuna. For every sale I make, I donate $500 to a charity of my vendors' choice. Matthew Gillies and his family asked to have me donate to you, in recognition of their late father, Ian Gillies, who was looked after by you. Ian passed away last year and his family sold his house in Northcote in November. I hope this money will help in some small way. Kind regards, Kathryn Robertson (Bayleys) 021 490 480

Thank you very much Kathryn for your kind donation. We remember Ian well. A lovely social man who really enjoyed going out on our outings. Our condolences to Ian's family at his passing.
