St John's Presbyterian Church Rotorua has been a vibrant and welcoming Christian community in Rotorua for over 100 years. We are committed to sharing God's love for our community in practical ways in response to needs identified by our community. Our church building was in constant use for many activities including a Foodbank, supported housing programme, Sunbeams preschool gym, Community Cafe morning tea, youth group, ICONZ boys youth group and more.
On 8th February 2017 a major fire destroyed our church building. We are devastated at the loss of our beloved building, but have been overwhelmed by the love and support from the wider community, and the many offers of donations and practical help.
We are committed to ensuring that our work in the community will continue while we rebuild our church, and all donations will be used for this purpose.

St John's Presbyterian Church is a warm and welcoming Christian community in Rotorua. We offer a wide range of church and community programmes including for children, young people, older people and those in need of food or other practical support. We are part of the Rotorua District Presbyterian Church.
Use of funds
Funds raised will go directly towards the cost of reestablishing our various programmes and activities in temporary locations across Rotorua. Our specific needs are still being determined as we get things back up and running. Some needs already identified include: restocking our food bank, a van and covered trailer for transporting people and equipment, storage space for our temporary locations, youth group sports and games equipment, running and hireage costs for temporary locations.
