Help the Tākaka Hill Biodiversity Group Trust restore and protect the unique karst ecosystems on Tākaka Hill.
Takaka Hill, Tasman
The Tākaka Hill Biodiversity Group Trust (THBGT) understand that Tākaka Hill private land is a unique corridor of karst habitat connecting Kahurangi and Abel Tasman National Parks. We undertake predator, pest animal and pest plant control on private and public conservation land to protect endangered species such as kaka, kakariki, whio and pateke that have been reintroduced into the Abel Tasman National Park.
The Tākaka Hill community are working to restore and protect the unique karst ecosystems for native taonga as they spread out from the National Parks.
The Takaka Hill Biodiversity Group Trust is a community-led group of landowners restoring and protecting indigenous ecosystems on Takaka Hill private and public conservation land.
