Taneatua School

The purpose of this page is to raise funds for property projects that are not covered under our Ministry of Education funding allocations.

These projects are centred around 'Manaaki' - we want our tamariki to thrive within a school grounds that is nurturing, growing and most of all Challenging and Fun! We want our tamariki to have access to all of the awesome parks and facilities the town schools have.

About us ...

Tāneata School is a small rural primary school in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. We believe in tamariki as the path to healing in our little community. We believe that by knowing who we are, the ākonga of Te Kura o Tāneatua will find the strength and wisdom to walk with pride in our two worlds.

We will nurture our tamariki within our Mission Framework -

Manaakitanga: To build the mana of our tamariki, through nurturing, growing, challenging, and fun!

Kōrero Awhi: To communicate clearly, positively and with compassion with our tamariki, our whānau, and our community.

Hauora: To enable balance in our tamariki. When our tamariki are balanced both in body and mind they will be prepared to achieve their lofty mountains.

Whenua: We are caretakers of our school and our community. Our connection to our whenua helps us to build our foundations from which strength and wisdom will follow.
