Taupo Bluelight empowers youth, to be the best they can be. We want to do more and need your help to make this happen.

Taupo Bluelight loves working with the Tamariki and Rangatahi of Taupo, and helping them to become capable, confident, contributing members of society.
BUT we want to do more. More programmes, events and employ a coordinator to make this happen.
Currently we run a variety of programmes and events some include:
- CACTUS an 8 week bootcamp style programme for two secondary schools - designed to build self esteem, self management, team building and leadership skills
- School Holiday Walks - designed to get Tamariki & Rangatahi out into the amazing outdoors that surround Taupo
- Keeping Ourselves Safe discos at primary schools who run the Keeping Ourselves Safe programme with the Taupo Police School Community Officer. The disco provides students a positive fun way to interact with Taupo Police staff, while their parents attend the parent meeting about the programme.

Taupo Bluelight is a member of Blue Light New Zealand. We are a registered charity that works in partnership with the police to deliver an extensive range of youth programmes and activities. Our goals are to:
- Reduce the incidence of young people becoming an offender or victim of crime.
-Encourage better relations between the police, young people, their parents and the community.
We want our events and programmes to empower youth to be the best they can be.
