Getting food on to the tables of friends and whānau who are doing it tough across the Hutt Valley.
Lower Hutt, Wellington
Te Awa Kairangi Kai Collective coordinates the provision of emergency kai parcels to people in our communities who are doing it tough. By working together we amplify our impact and get the food to where it is needed most - on to the tables of friends and whānau across the Hutt Valley.
Our Collective comprises of pātaka and foodbanks from across Lower Hutt. Together we develop strategies to link our emergency food provision practices to the growing food resilience and climate adaptation work that is happening across the Valley. We are guided by the values of manaakitanga and kotahitanga as we work to ensure that there is accessible and sustainable food for everyone within Te Awa Kairangi for generations to come.
Te Awa Kairangi Kai Collective organises under the umbrella of Kokiri Marae Keriana Olsen Trust.
