The Te Atatu-Glendene Community Patrol is made up of volunteers who give freely of their time and take responsibility within their community to assist Police to make it a safer environment in which to live. These Community patrols have the support of the New Zealand Police and work closely with the Police Liaison Officers.
Our general principals are to support Police achieve the ‘Prevention First’ strategy and work towards ‘Safer Communities Together’. Patrollers perform an ‘eyes and ears’ role, recording and reporting matters of interest or concern to the Police.
Patrol members adhere to the rules, requirements and Code of Conduct set out by CPNZ and NZ Police. They are all vetted by the Police and undertake pre-patrol and on patrol training for a period of usually 2 months.
The Te Atatu-Glendene Community Patrol is a newly formed Community Patrol which is affiliated with The Community Patrols of New Zealand Charitable Trust. We are a team of volunteers who patrol the Te Atatu/Glendene areas a few times a week and also weekend evenings. We work closely with the NZ Police and all have an interest in our community and keeping it safe and free from crime. We would be extremely grateful to receive some donations to enable us to keep the our car running with fuel and pay for vehicle expenses. Every little helps, and we'd be very grateful for your support. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, we'd love to have you on board. Please email cpnzteatatu@gmail.com
