The Bream Head (Te Whara) Conservation Trust

  • Triple your donation!

      14 May 2021

BHCT has been having a busy year with some terrific things happening with new technology in predator control called "SMART" traps, newly approved super effective toxins and automated lure dispensers helping us continue to push for full ecological restoration of this taonga.

This has attracted the attention of an anonymous donor who has made a very generous offer...

For every $1 donated from now until the end of June, they will match this with $2.

That means that your donation of $25 becomes $75...or $50 becomes $150....$100 becomes $300.

This is a fantastic opportunity for BHCT to raise some much needed funds that will enable us to continue our path toward a pest free future!

Please donate now at our Campaign page here: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/triple-your-donation-1

    Our goal is $15,000.

Bream Head Volunteers and our ranger look after 800 ha of beautiful native bush, coastal broadleaf forest and all the birds, insects, lizards and skinks that inhabit the place. Our headquarters just needs power. We need to raise more funds to get us there if you can give a little it would really help!

The final stage in the operational facility upgrade is to get an off-grid power system to ‘turn on the lights’ so we can have our rangers working in the office at the facility, researchers and volunteers working from the site and school children learning about ecological restoration. The power system will enable the power for tools, lights, battery chargers, a compost toilet and fridge/freezer for bait storage.
