A not for profit animal rescue saving the abandoned, neglected and abused.
West Coast
We are a registered charity (CC60054) and a small team of dedicated women who foster and rehome animals throughout the West Coast based in Greymouth.
We saw a need when the SPCA in Hokitika closed without public explanation and so we opened our homes and invested our time engaging fosterers to take over where they fell down.
We are running on donations from our community and our own back pockets.
All of our animals receive de-sexing surgery, vet treatment, vaccination, quality food, TLC, flea and worm treatment before being rehomed.
Please consider donating if you like what we're doing, so that we can keep going! Every donation makes a difference and it is extremely appreciated.
When the new Hokitika SPCA animal shelter closed it's doors we established our animal rescue. All donations raised go directly to our animals for their welfare, rehabilitation and rehoming.
Blind miracle Maggie May 19 June 2024
Maggie came to us after being turned away by the SPCA Greymouth. She was born without eyes and dumped at the Omoto racecourse in Greymouth. She was well under weight and very small.
After being adopted she has come ahead leaps and bounds with gentle care, quality food and of course regular vet care.
Now with a loving home and safe environment she is ruling the roost in a home with three other rescues, all dogs. This brave wee girl has overcome so much and is a loving member of this family.
Your help is really appreciated, thank you
