Blind miracle Maggie May

Maggie came to us after being turned away by the SPCA Greymouth. She was born without eyes and dumped at the Omoto racecourse in Greymouth. She was well under weight and very small.

After being adopted she has come ahead leaps and bounds with gentle care, quality food and of course regular vet care.

Now with a loving home and safe environment she is ruling the roost in a home with three other rescues, all dogs. This brave wee girl has overcome so much and is a loving member of this family.

Meet the Two women who started it all!

Jess and Nikita started Their Voice when they saw and heard the needs of their communities animals were not being met. Completely self funded initially, now they have the support of volunteers and donations from locals. Financial support also comes from Second Chance when people donate to the great cause items to sell.

THANK YOU so very much to everyone who donated their time, energy and spare change yesterday to our fundraising raffle at Hokitika New World. You people are awesome and we are very grateful for your support.

We raised over $800, WOWEE! This is such a big help towards our veterinary and food expenses. 🙂

Congratulations to the prize winners who were drawn under police supervision this morning.
