The Kai Kitchen Hawera / The Donation Station

The Kai Ktchen and Koha Shed Hawera, we are trying our best to alleviate poverty in our community

Taranaki

The Kai Kitchen and Koha Shed Hawera are all about community, OUR Community "Hawera"

We make lunches daily for 40+ school children who arrive daily at school with nothing in their lunch boxes,

We give emergency food parcels to families at breaking point.

We offer School Uniforms and Stationary to those in emegency situations

we do not judge those brave enough to ask for help.

All our food, clothng, household items are donated by the public ... without them we could not continue.

More about us

The Kai Kitchen Trust works directly with schools and social services to give children - food, uniform, stationery, night meals etc.

We show the kids that someone cares every single day even though we are strangers to most of the kids on our lunch programme.
