BE A DONOR AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO A FAMILY THISE CHRISTMAS?

We need more helpers make a difference to thousands of Auckland families need your help right now. The COVID19 lockdowns have affected many Aucklanders. With this recent extended lockdown, we have seen a 250%  surge in numbers of families needing support.

Lots of families experience more poverty, financial hardship and food insecurity due to reduced employment hours, job loss, illnesses and also stress.

Vinnies is currently supporting around 1300 families per week in Auckland with food support. The assistance you were able to give us last year was amazing!

Can you help these parents put food on the table and some gifts under the tree for their little ones this Christmas?

We are so grateful for your generous support and what you have enabled over these past few years. Last year with your generous love and support and other caring individuals like you we were able support families with more than 6,000 food parcels throughout Christmas Season.

This year we are asking if you can help us once again.

Thank you for heeding our call. May God bless you and your loved ones and May you have a blessed Christmas

Supporting families through Lockdown Level 4   19 August 2021

On the first morning of the Level 4 lockdown at the Vinies centre, the phonelines rang non-stop, these were families seeking support for food . The Vinnies team predicted that this would happen so they spent the evening of the lockdown announcement until the early hours of the morning preparing hundreds of food boxes.

On the first day of lockdown the Vinnies center supported over 100 families with food. It was great to also have leaders of the community like Principal of Weymouth Primary school Saane Olderhaver and her daughter Tayla who is also a teacher come in to collect boxes to deliver to the families in their school.

They were so grateful to be able to have access to the kai to respond to over 20 families who had sought their help for food support for their families.
