Waiatarua Volunteer Fire Brigade

The Waiatarua Volunteer Fire Brigade serves its local community in the central Waitakere Ranges and eastern foothills, and regularly backs up neighbouring Brigades in the West. The Station is not only the base for our emergency response activity but acts as a community resource in times of need.

In past and recent storms and floods, the station was open to the community to access showers, power etc (helped by brigade partners!).

As with all volunteer brigades, Fire and Emergency NZ (FENZ) equips us well with excellent training, personal protective equipment, a fire appliance, plus the core firefighting and medical equipment for us to do our job.

However, all Brigades are different, and have different needs and risk profiles, which means we often need to purchase and maintain equipment specific to our area.

A donation to WVFB would support the maintenance and acquisition of additional and Waiatarua specific equipment.
